LUSH Valley is pleased to present Brian Brett, award winning author of Trauma Farm for an evening of story telling and dinner at the Annual General Meeting of LUSH Valley (Let Us Share the Harvest) a Food Action Society, on Monday, April 22.
Brett offers a unique perspective weaving science and folk tales to conjure our cultural connections with locally grown food. From the awe of simple perfection found on our community farms to the horrors of slaughterhouses, a sharp and humorous view is shared about rural life.
Dinner begins at 6 pm. Chefs Vivian, Cynthia, and helpers will be preparing an array of delicious local food dishes. The menu will consist of: Seafood Chowder, Cinderella Pumpkin Soup, Mixed Spring Greens, Baked Salmon, Veggie Curry and Rice with Tree Island Gourmet Yogurt, Apple Crumble with Legato Gelato.
Storytelling begins at 6:45. The Annual General Meeting will begin at 7:30 pm.
