Growing Great Tomatoes workshop at Lake Trail School

Who doesn’t love the vine-ripened flavour of home grown tomatoes! Growing great tomatoes in the Comox Valley is certainly possible but gardeners need to keep in mind that a few techniques are necessary to keep tomato production going into the fall. Join local agrologist Arzeena Hamir as she discusses how to choose the right tomato for your garden, tips on organic fertility, and diseases and pests to watch out for.

When: Tuesday, March 19 (6:30 pm to 8:00 pm)
Where: Lake Trail School Library
Participant fee: $5 per person
Instructor: Arzeena Hamir of Amara Farm in Courtenay
